Privacy policy

This policy explains what Haul Math ("we") collects when you use haulmath.co, why, and what you can do about it. The short version is that the calculators run in your browser, and we only store data when you create an account and choose to save something.

Using the calculators without an account

The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your browser. They aren't sent to us. Pasted documents, such as a rate confirmation or a settlement, stay on your device too. The browser's local storage keeps a few small settings on your device: your day or night theme, your last invoice number, and the random visitor ID described below.

Analytics

We measure which pages and articles are useful. When you visit, your browser sends us the page you viewed, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source). It also sends clicks on a few main buttons and whether you opened a PDF preview or created an account. To connect those visits, the browser keeps a random visitor ID in local storage. It isn't a cookie, it doesn't contain your name or email, and it isn't shared with other sites. This data goes to our own marketing analytics service, hosted on Supabase. If you buy Pro, we link that visitor ID to your account so we can tell which article led to the purchase. We don't use advertising networks, and we don't sell data. To opt out, clear this site's storage or block scripts for it. The calculators still work.

Accounts (Pro)

If you create an account, we store:

• Your email address, which you use to sign in with a one-time link.
• Items you choose to save, such as cost profiles, loads, invoices, customers, IFTA quarters, per diem logs, and your logo and business name.
• Your subscription status, plan, and renewal dates.

Account data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers in the United States. Access is restricted so that each account can only read its own data.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details on its own checkout page, and we never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the status of your subscription so we can turn Pro on or off. Stripe's privacy policy covers the data it collects.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes standard request data, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Your choices

• You can use every calculator without an account.
• You can delete any saved item from your account page at any time.
• To delete your account and all its data, email the support address listed here once it's set up from the address on the account. We'll confirm when it's done.

Children

This site is for adults running trucking businesses. It isn't directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
